The UCS Certificates provide the guarantee of:
Origin
- Credits generated by the application of Certification Programme of good practices of land use in rural areas;
- Of projects developed by the Brasil Mata Viva Programme whose goal and principles are to reconcile the productive activity of man to environmental protection;
- Of Avoided Deforestation Projects whose goal is to maintain forest carbon stocks, thus reducing the greenhouse gases emission resulted from slash-and-burn;
- Of projects that protect fauna, flora, biodiversity and water resources;

- Complies with the criteria of Climate Convention, verified at Article 4 of the Convention on Climate Change Report;
- Law Nº 8,981 MT, dated September 26th, 2008, Public Recognition and Sustainability Model;
- BMV Programme is registered as NGO at UN through consultative status;
- Validation of sustainability initiatives followed and monitored by a NGO regulated by Ministry of Justice of Brazil: OSCIPS (Public Interest Civil Society Organisation) and Foundations – Law 9,790/99 – “Lei das OSCIP”;
- Inventory Methodology and quantification verified and measured by an university of great respect and tradition in the Brazilian scientific community: UNESP (Scientific Methodology of Forest Inventory and UCSVT BMV Generation – BMV MCIF 2.1/2011);
- Verification of credit quantification by an international recognised institution TUV Rheinland ISO 65, an institution accredited by the UNFCCC;
- Guarantee of Credit Title Origin: UCS traced through CPR – Brazilian Agricultural Bond – regulated by the Financial System (under Article 5, paragraph II of Law 8,929/94, Articles 1,438 and following of the Civil Code 2002 and Law 2,666/55);
- Framed as rural activity product, under the Law 8,023/90, Art. 2nd, III
